This year we are celebrating Halloween on Thursday 29th October (two days before the festival).
In class we have done crosswords to refresh our Halloween vocabulary, and we have read texts about how Halloween is celebrated in the United Kingdom. We have decorated the walls with Halloween motifs (pumpkins, witches, haunted houses). The students have designed and hung pennants in the hall. The first years are making bilingual posters on imaginary zombie animals.
At 12.05 on Thursday all the secondary students will participate in some Halloween workshops that the teachers in the bilingual programme have prepared for them. Then, after lunch, students will see the film Monster House.
Este año celebraremos Halloween el jueves 29 de octubre (dos días antes de la festividad). En clase, hemos hecho crucigramas para refrescar nuestro vocabulario de Halloween, y hemos leído textos acerca de cómo se celebra Halloween en el Reino Unido. Además, hemos decorado los pasillos con motivos de Halloween. Los alumnos y alumnas han diseñado banderines y los han colgado en el vestíbulo; y los alumnos y alumnas de primer curso están preparando pósters bilingües sobre animales zombies imaginarios.
A las 12.05 del jueves todos los estudiantes de secundaria participàrán en unos talleres de Halloween que han preparado los profesores y profesoras del programa bilingüe. Después del almuerzo, los estudiantes verán la película Monster House.
